I Just Want to Talk About How I Just Want to Dance With You (2016)

“I wonder if this idea of “dance literacy” could then also be imagined as placing ourselves in relation to work, without expectations. With a willingness to be surprised by the parallels that might emerge for us.”

I Just Want to Talk About How I Just Want to Dance With You is a series of pamphlets produced by artist, writer and critic Jacquelyn Ross as a part of An Exact Vertigo 2016. In the series, Jacquelyn initiates email correspondence with four artists working in dance (Deanna Peters, Jane Ellison, and Brynn McNab) around themes of gender, form, criticism, and ways of looking at dances.

the .pdf of my conversation with Jacquelyn, “Alexa Mardon and the Dance Appreciation Society,” is downloadable here
